Thriller “Deep Water” to Stream on Hulu After Theatrical Release Nixed
Deep Water was pulled from Disney’s theatrical release calendar and will no longer premiere in theaters next January Deep Water, an erotic thriller starring Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck, is heading to streaming after the film was removed from Disney’s theatrical release schedule Thursday. The movie will stream on Hulu — which is majority-owned by The Walt Disney Company — in the U.S., and is expected to stream on Amazon Prime Video overseas, Deadline reports. The outlet also shared that Deep Water is landing on streaming amidst a “feeble theatrical marketplace” for “adult fare,” citing West Side Story‘s disappointing weekend opening. Deep Water was initially set to premiere in theaters Jan. 14, 2022. The film has not yet been given an official streaming release date. Affleck, 49, and de Armas, 33, star in Deep Water as married couple Vic and Melinda Van Allen. The Allens stay in their passionless marriage by striking up affairs on the side, all while the people close to them begin to turn up dead. The film is based on the 1957 Patricia Highsmith novel of the same name and comes from Fatal Attraction director Adrian Lyne. Deep Water also stars Tracy Letts, Lil Rel Howery, Rachel Blanchard, Finn Wittrock and Jacob Elordi.
Disney Pulls ‘Deep Water’ From Release Schedule
Disney said Thursday that Deep Water, the 20th Century Studios erotic thriller starring Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas, co-starring Jacob Elordi and directed by Adrian Lyne, has been pulled from the release schedule. It had been slated to hit theaters on January 14, 2022. The studio did not give a reason for the move on the pic, which is the first movie from the Indecent Proposal and Fatal Attraction director in almost two decades and is based on the Patricia Highsmith novel. Deadline has reached out for comment. Affleck and de Armas star as Vic and Melinda Van Allen, a married couple whose mind games with each other take a twisted turn when people around them start turning up dead. The couple staves off divorce in a loveless marriage by allowing each to take lovers, but it becomes messy as Highsmith exposed the surface façade of American suburban life. Zack Helm and Sam Levinson adapted the book. Finn Wittrock, Tracy Letts, Rachel Blanchard, Dash Mihok, Lil Rel Howery, Jacob Elordi, Kristen Connolly and Jade Fernandez also star. No word on whether Deep Water will be rescheduled.

“2 Hearts” it’s now streaming on Netflix!

2 Hearts is based on a true story, so let’s get the events and people which inspired the 2020 movie explained. It’s now streaming on Netflix.

Netflix has unveiled plenty of notable and exciting movies so far this year, from The White Tiger to Army of the Dead,

Although there have been lots of new titles, sometimes slightly older titles are able to reach a wider audience thanks to a place on the platform, giving them a second life of sorts.

Recently, this has been the case for 2 Hearts, which originally premiered back in October 2020. It currently ranks high on the Netflix “Top 10” in the United States.

The American romantic drama was directed by Lance Hool and stars Jacob Elordi, Adan Canto, Tiera Skovbye, and Radha Mitchel, conjuring up a tale of two couples in different decades and places; despite this, they share a connection that brings them closer.

Jacob Elordi & Zachary Quinto To Star In True Crime Thriller ‘He Went That Way’ – Cannes Virtual Market

The Kissing Booth and Euphoria star Jacob Elordi will star with Star Trek and American Horror Story star Zachary Quinto in the road-trip crime thriller He Went That Way, which Mister Smith Entertainment is launching ahead of the virtual Cannes market.

Set in 1964, the movie is based on the strange but true crime story of celebrity animal trainer Dave Pitts and his famous TV chimp, Spanky, centerpiece of the traveling extravaganza The Ice Capades, and his fateful three-day encounter with the serial killer Larry Lee Ranes. Quinto will portray Jim Goodwin, based on Pitts. Elordi will play serial killer Bobby Falls, based on Ranes. The story is inspired by Conrad Hilberry’s book Luke Karamazov and the real-life account from Pitts, the sole survivor of Ranes’ killing spree. Commercials director Jeffrey Darling will make his feature debut from a script by Evan M. Wiener (Monogamy).

The producing team includes Marc Benardout (Sinner), James Harris (Welcome to Raccoon City: Resident Evil) and Mark Lane (47 Meters Down) of Teashop Productions, Hugh Broder (Emoticon;)) and Jeremy Kotin (Blood Stripe). Phil Hunt of Head Gear Films and recently formed Bohemia Media are executive producing. David Garrett’s Mister Smith Entertainment is handling worldwide sales and introducing the project to global buyers ahead of a planned fall start of production in California.

Zippy the chimp, based on Spanky, will be a fusion of a suited character actor and animatronics created by Legacy Effects, which has provided creature design and animatronics for movies including The Shape of WaterAvengers: Infinity WarGuardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Jurassic World.

He Went That Way is a undoubtedly a journey of curious tensions and bonds between two and at times three interesting characters all on their own path,” Darling said. “A cinematic tale on the road across the U.S. in the early ’60s where people come with a rawness forged from the landscapes they inhabit. It is for our two leads Jacob and Zachary as well as myself, a great opportunity to explore with an improvised sensibility.” Mister Smith Entertainment’s Garrett added: “The screenplay is a heady mix of menacing, funny and emotional and, with Jeffrey’s incomparable visual genius, we anticipate this will be a unique and darkly thrilling road trip experience for audiences around the world.”
